Magic light bulbs make bad smells go away
Doesn’t it seem like “titanium” is high-tech code for “trust us, it can do anything?” Take this, for example. The makers of the Fresh 2 Light Bulbs, which I read about at Apartment Therapy, claim that the titanium dioxide coating of these light bulbs makes them eliminate odors in the room once they’ve been turned on for 10 mins.
Of course it’s hard to say for sure if this will work, but doesn’t that seem to be the case with so many of today’s technology. We’ve gone from “oh that’s hella cool” to somewhere around “well let me explain to you what this does.” Who’s going to be able to tell you if your house/room smells any better or worse with our without this light? Not to mention how long the light has to be on, to neutralize x amount of odors. Products like this are probably a waste of money, unless they’re the only light bulbs in stock I’ll pass.
